The Rose Tree Media School District and Glenwood Elementary School seek a friendly, positive, and service-oriented individual to serve as the Attendance Clerk/Office Assistant in the main office. This role plays an important part in supporting the daily operations of the school while helping to create a welcoming and responsive environment for students, staff, families, and visitors.
The Attendance Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate student attendance data within the District’s student information system and generating reports as needed. This position also supports the daily operations of the main office by assisting with phone communication, greeting visitors, and performing a variety of clerical tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training beyond high school preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, families, and visitors, both orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with student information systems, data entry, email, and phone systems.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including copiers and computer systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse school community. Basic mathematical skills required for routine office tasks.
