Role Description
Rose Rock is seeking an Environmental Site Technician to join our team in Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate will have experience with oil and gas operations, emergency response, or industrial safety work. This position requires a current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities
- Support 24/7 emergency spill response activities, including containment, cleanup, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Soil and groundwater remediation, including excavation, treatment, and backfilling as directed.
- Environmental sampling following established protocols and chain-of-custody requirements.
- Industrial cleaning, including tank cleaning, power washing, and confined space entry work.
- Operate and maintain field equipment such as pumps, vac trucks, pressure washers, and heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, etc.).
- Accurately complete field documentation, daily reports, and safety checklists.
- Adhere to all HSE policies, including PPE use, hazard communication, and safe work practices.
- Perform other field duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and outdoors in varying conditions.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus; training will be required if not already obtained.
Preferred:
- Experience in oil & gas, environmental, or emergency response fields.
- Specialized training (H2S Awareness, SafeLand, Confined Space, EMT, etc.)
- H2S Awareness and SafeLand training
- Fit Test/ SCBA experience
- Hazmat Emergency Response experience
