Responsibilities
- Support the movement of goods and materials throughout the supply chain to ensure timely deliveries, helping to address any delays and expedite urgent shipments as needed.
- Track and report key performance metrics and assist in evaluating logistics performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Help create initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics operations through innovative solutions. - Serve as a point of contact for tracking shipments and inventory levels, ensuring accurate operational records are maintained.
- Collaborate with suppliers, transportation providers, and customers to troubleshoot logistics-related issues.
- Assist in planning and coordinating shipping routes and schedules to optimize transportation costs and delivery times.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of logistics processes while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
- Support the implementation of logistics policies for both import and domestic operations.
- Foster strong relationships with freight agents and internal teams to ensure effective communication.
- Assist in efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and address any delivery-related concerns.
- Ensure accurate data entry into ERP systems and provide support for logistics operations.
- Help with the submission of import documents and HTS verification to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct audits of invoices to confirm accuracy and compliance with pricing agreements.
- Participate in contract reviews and assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposals, as well as updating rate schedules and requesting quotes.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to logistics operations.
- Comply with company and area Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
- Able to work effectively in both office and production environments
- Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
- This role requires up to 10% travel (domestic and/or international)
