Job Summary
HOURLY WAGE WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE!!!
We are seeking a dedicated and hard working Maintenance Handyman to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and appearance of our building interiors and facilities equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a comfortable, functional environment for our tenants. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply a broad skill set in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks, contributing directly to the smooth running of our operations.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, and building interior components to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Carry out carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to repair or improve facility infrastructure.
- Use hand tools and power tools skillfully for a variety of maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally from staff or tenants.
- Perform grounds-keeping needs, such as mowing, weed whacking and snow removal .
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday. You will be on call on weekends and after hours if emergency arise and Head of Maintenance is not available or needs assistance . You will be paid overtime for any of those instances.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical work, plumbing and building interior and exterior maintenance.
- Proficiency with painting and apartment repairs.
- Skilled in carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance.
- Knowledge of how to operate weed-whacker, mowers and snow plows.
- Ability to operate hand tools efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Able to withstand working in all outdoor temperatures, sun, rain and snow
- Able to lift up to 50lbs or more.
- Ability to climb up ladders and in crawl spaces.
- Ability to follow directions.
- DRIVERS LICENCE IS REQUIRED!
