What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Permitting Coordinator position at Rose Architects?
We are seeking a part-time Permit Expeditor to spearhead the permitting process for our firm from start to finish. Candidate must have experience submitting permit packages with the Fort Lauderdale Building Department.
Responsibilities include:
- Timely preparation and submission of building permits through various municipalities based on construction deadlines. Prepare permit package and follow up on plan review status.
- Process payments and fees related to permits.
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with municipality departments and staff members
- Coordinate with division departments and external contacts to ensure all deadlines for building plans and permits are completed on time.
- Track permit applications, following specific processes and performing administrative and follow-up tasks as necessary.
- Coordinate with client, design team, and general contractor to ensure a smooth process.
- Assist with office administration and clerical tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience submitting permit packages to the Fort Lauderdale Building Department.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
Pay is commensurate with experience. This position will work out of the Oakland Park office.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
