The Role

As a Pedorthist, you will play a critical role in the health and wellness of your patients by creating customized orthotics, and footwear to meet their specific needs. Job Title: Location: Lewisville, TX (In-office & Local Patient Travel)
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (Based on experience). Per job payment options will be considered.
Job Type: Part-time, Contract (1099)
What You’ll Do
- Conducting assessments of patients' feet and lower limbs to determine the cause of their pain or discomfort
- Designing and creating custom orthotics and foot wear for patients
- Fitting and adjusting orthotics and footwear for optimal comfort and function
- Educating patients on proper foot care and orthotic usage
- Communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the most effective treatment
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting all patient interactions
- Staying current on industry advancements and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Podiatry, or a related field
- Experience working in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of current industry advancements and continuing education opportunities
- Certification as a Pedorthist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pedorthic care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local patient visits.
- Must carry individual Professional Liability Insurance (Malpractice)
