Job Summary:
Responsible for providing sales coverage and developing best possible market penetration for all products to present and prospective customers in his/her assigned territory in accordance with the company’s policies and programs. Responsible for Customers within a regional territory of Chicago Metro (Tri-Sate). Will be responsible for distribution business for all Roppe products and programs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Full-fill sales quotas and forecasting in their region.
- Set sales quotas for distribution.
- Initiate programs and promotions to help achieve quotas.
- Manage project quotes for sales forecasting.
- Manage account responsibility distribution
- Motivate and train personnel in product knowledge and installation methods.
- Utilization of marketing tools
- Including but not limited to; websites, sampling, and merchandising aids.
- Maintain inventory in regards to purchasing and investments dollars.
- Administer pricing programs such as key accounts/projects.
- Implementation of National Account Programs.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly reviews for project quotations, management meetings of review sales, inventory analysis, pricing programs.
- Manage sample and promotional funds, claim management, and compliance of file backs and sales reporting.
- Manage the National Group and Key Accounts.
- Manage pricing programs from distribution to member accounts.
- Assist with product knowledge meetings.
- Assist with Installation Seminars.
- Generate sales and specifications within the Architectural, Design, and End use channels.
- Product presentations
- Project management
- Consultations
- Lead follow-up and project tracking
- Train distributor sales personnel
- Administer Project and Product specification support with Commercial Flooring Specialist
- Manage project pricing.
- Assist Project tracking with distribution
- Assist with pre-installation or post installation project meetings.
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sales or related field preferred.
- 3 years of fulltime commercial selling experience preferred.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Detailed oriented, good with basic math and able to work in team environment required.
- Experience in computer applications.
- Ability to work without supervision and to make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to process work with accuracy and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a stationary position in usually an office environment.
- Physical activity includes sitting, walking on plant floor, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, and feeling.
- Ability to work with office equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and telephones.
