What we are looking for

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of construction projects within our manufactured home communities across the U.S. This role is essential in ensuring that we continue to fulfill our company mission.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning and execution of construction projects and home deliveries and home set projects in manufactured home communities across the U.S.
• Collaborate with Regional Managers to define the scope of work for capital improvements, prepare construction schedules, and develop budgets.
• Assist in selecting contractors and soliciting bids for CAPEX projects, such as landscaping, tree trimming, and rental home repairs.
• Organize and submit contract requests, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Select and coordinate with engineers, architects, or land planners, and present plans for local approval to city and county councils as required.
• Solicit and select contractors and vendors to execute approved work, arrange contracts and payment schedules, and supervise project execution.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules, proactively notifying management of potential issues.
• Provide regular status reports on project progress to management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Build a network of on-call contractors to address emergency maintenance issues as they arise.
• Work collaboratively with other departments such as inventory, legal, and accounting to resolve issues and obtain necessary support.
• Conduct regular site visits to assigned communities, maintaining communication with Community Managers and inspecting new homes upon delivery to ensure smooth project progression.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Position Qualifications / Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the manufactured housing or multi-unit property sector.
• Proven track record of managing multiple construction projects from start to finish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) is a plus.
• Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with working with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors; experience in contract negotiation and management.
