Position Overview
As a Guest Experience Specialist, you are the first and last impression of our salon and a key driver of our growth. This role goes beyond traditional reception. You are responsible for maximizing each guest visit through exceptional service, strategic recommendations, and consistent rebooking and retail sales.
You will work alongside service providers as part of a unified team focused on delivering an elevated guest experience while achieving sales and performance goals.
This role is essential to the success of our salon company, operating as a revenue-generating position that directly impacts guest retention, team performance, and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Create a warm, welcoming, and elevated first impression for every guest
- Guide guests through a seamless check-in and checkout experience
- Personalize each interaction to build long-term relationships and loyalty
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Recommend retail products based on service provider consultations
- Maximize prebooking to ensure guest retention
- Promote additional services, upgrades, and packages
- Drive gift card sales and promotions
- Support team goals in average ticket and retail performance
Performance & Accountability
- Track and achieve individual and team KPIs (retail %, prebook %, ticket average)
- Follow proven scripts and systems to ensure consistency
- Participate in daily/weekly sales focus and coaching
Team Collaboration
- Partner with stylists/estheticians to support the guest journey
- Communicate guest needs, preferences, and opportunities
- Contribute to a positive, growth-focused salon culture
Compensation & Growth
- Starting pay: $15.16/hour
- Increase to $16.16/hour after first 90 days
- Bonus system tied to performance and sales goals
- Eligibility for regular raises based on growth, consistency, and results
Schedule
- May 2026: Wednesdays & Thursdays from 8:30am-3:30pm
- Starting June 2026: Transition Tuesdays - Fridays from 8:30am-3:30pm
