What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Marketing Specialist position at Root3 Marketing?
Root3 Marketing is a growth marketing agency focused on helping mid-market B2B and B2P healthcare clients build authority, generate demand, and accelerate growth.
We work alongside executive teams to turn expertise into marketing that moves the business forward. That means thought leadership, digital strategy, websites, CRM, content, paid media, public relations, podcasts, and everything in between.
If you're energized by variety, ownership, and solving new challenges, you'll fit right in.
We're looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist who can bring strategy to life.
You'll help manage integrated marketing programs across multiple clients, coordinating websites, digital campaigns, content, CRM, email marketing, social media, analytics, and AI-powered workflows.
One week you might help launch a new healthcare podcast. The next, you might coordinate a website launch, optimize a LinkedIn advertising campaign, build a HubSpot workflow, or help an executive turn an interview into a month of thought leadership content.
You'll work closely with account leaders, designers, developers, writers, and clients to keep projects moving and ensure every deliverable reflects Root3's standards.
- Manage day-to-day execution across multiple client accounts.
- Coordinate integrated marketing campaigns from idea through launch.
- Build and publish website content in WordPress, Squarespace, and other CMS platforms.
- Create and manage HubSpot email campaigns, landing pages, workflows, and CRM updates.
- Coordinate organic and paid social campaigns.
- Assist with Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads execution and optimization.
- Maintain editorial calendars and campaign schedules.
- QA marketing assets before launch.
- Monitor campaign performance and prepare client reports with insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and content creators to keep projects moving.
- Identify opportunities to improve client programs rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
- Love organizing complex projects.
- Naturally think in systems and processes.
- Can balance multiple priorities without dropping details.
- Like working directly with smart clients and subject matter experts.
- Believe AI should make marketers better.
- Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions.
- Enjoy turning ideas into finished work.
- Confidently manage 3–5 client programs.
- Require minimal supervision to keep projects moving.
- Improve the speed and quality of campaign execution.
- Become a trusted day-to-day contact for clients.
- Identify opportunities rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
- Use AI to accelerate production while maintaining quality.
- Free senior team members to spend more time on strategy and business development.
- 3–7 years in agency or B2B marketing
- Comfortable learning new marketing technology. We currently use HubSpot, WordPress, Squarespace, Asana, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads, Google Ads, ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI-powered marketing tools.
- Healthcare marketing experience
- B2B SaaS or professional services experience
- Podcast or video marketing
- Public relations or media outreach
- Marketing automation and integrations
- Basic HTML/CSS

- Outpatient mental health coverage (in network) at no charge
- 401(k) program with up to 3% employer match after one-year of employment
- Subsidized gym membership at Chicago Athletic Clubs
