Semi-Skilled Maintenance & Field Services Assistant For Residential Property Management Co.

ROOST Real Estate Co. is looking to hire a dependable, hardworking Field Services Assistant to support our team with trash-outs, deep cleanings, lawn care, interior painting, light repairs, and general labor. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes initiative, and wants to grow their skills over time.

Position Overview

This is a field-based position ideal for someone semi-skilled and reliable who wants to be part of a company where their work directly improves homes and communities. You’ll work independently and with others to help clean up and maintain properties between tenants. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and a “get it done” mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform trash-outs and property clean-ups after move-outs
• Lawn care and exterior clean-up to improve curb appeal
• Interior painting, touch-ups, and prep work
• Deep clean homes and apartments.
• Assist skilled technicians on light repairs and punch list work
• Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and presentable at all times
• Use Property Meld to document tasks and upload job photos
• Communicate with your supervisor about progress and needs
• Transport tools, materials, and debris as needed (must have reliable vehicle)

Requirements

• General handyman/labor experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn and work hard every day
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders, and stay active on the job
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid Ohio driver’s license required
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Team player attitude and professional communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $22 to $27.50 per hour, based on experience
• Overtime opportunities at time-and-a-half
• Mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rate
• Paid holidays and vacation after six months
• Consistent year-round work with supportive leadership
• Room to grow into a more skilled maintenance role

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM
• 30 –40 hours per week
• Occasional weekend work may be available based on project needs
