JOB SUMMARY:
- Under supervision, performs complex and routine maintenance, repair and installation of Electrical and/or HVAC components and operates and repairs Electrical and/or HVAC systems in the RCC facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Troubleshoots and replaces electric motors and controls; installs electrical circuits; transfer switches; single and 3 phase circuitry up to 480 volts.
- Troubleshoots and tests electrical control panels, circuitry and equipment used for the emergency generation of power and light.
- Repairs, maintains and troubleshoots HVAC equipment such as water chillers, heat pumps, VAVS, and re-heaters.
- Maintains sets and operates various HVAC control stations.
- Replaces parts, filters and belts as routine maintenance on HVAC systems and components.
- Reads and interprets schematics, blueprints and technical manuals.
- Interfaces with outside contractors and inspects completed work to insure compliance.
- Sets up, orders and maintains equipment and parts inventory and control systems.
- Handles equipment, tools and machines safely and efficiently and maintains work area in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to climb from ladders 10 feet
- Able to open and close mezzanine access ladders to 20 feet
- Able to open and close large valves using valve wrenches
- Able to move full 30 gallon drums with a hand truck
- Able to push or pull beds, furniture, file cabinets, etc.
