Opportunity Overview
An established Nebraska commercial roofing and property-solutions contractor, around 50 employees, 100% employee-owned through an ESOP, with permanent offices across the state.
Work spans commercial coatings restoration, single-ply re-roofing, metal systems, spray foam, storm damage, residential roofing, agricultural buildings, foundation repair and waterproofing. Roughly 97% is re-roofing rather than new construction, and this role sits at about 80% commercial, 20% residential.
The platform has recently expanded beyond its traditional coatings base, widening the services available to take to market. Omaha is the newest office and the primary growth priority, with Lincoln also in territory. Sales sits alongside marketing, operations and multiple technical divisions.
Your Role
- Own commercial business development across the Omaha metro, with Lincoln in scope
- Get in front of facility managers, building owners and property managers, and book commercial roof assessments
- Reactivate dormant accounts and build referral channels with complementary trades and partners
- Run lunch-and-learns, chambers, associations and trade shows, and follow storm activity across the territory
- Hand qualified opportunities into the sales organisation and carry a sourced-revenue number
Key Requirements
- 2 years in outside sales, business development or community relations, with self-generated pipeline
- Able to prospect independently, in person, without being handed a lead list
- Commercial roofing, construction, building products, property management or insurance contacts strongly preferred
- Based in or relocating to the Omaha metro, with a valid driver’s license
