Duties
- Regional routes in OH, IN, MI, KY-Home weekly
- Safely operate end-dump trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, to transport materials to designated sites.
- Drive route-specific deliveries, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Assist with loading/unloading using forklifts or other equipment when necessary to streamline operations.
Experience
- Proven truck driving experience with a focus on commercial driving, including tractor-trailer operations.
- Hands-on experience operating dump trailers.
- Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and route driving across diverse terrains.
- Knowledge of load securing procedures and safety protocols for freight transportation.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot common mechanical issues.
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially involving freight handling and route management.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL-A)
