Event Security Officer: Venue & Safety Specialist

We don’t just "watch the door"—we ensure the integrity of the venue and the safety of every guest through proactive communication and sharp attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Venue Integrity: Monitor parking areas and venue grounds to prevent property damage and ensure a smooth arrival/departure experience.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) laws and local venue rules, particularly during private parties.
- Crowd Management: Actively manage guest flow and entry points to maintain a safe, organized atmosphere.
- Emergency Support: Provide CPR/First Aid as needed and collaborate with emergency services and event coordinators.
Mandatory Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following California state requirements:
- Current CA Guard Card: Must have a valid registration with the BSIS.
- Training Compliance: Must have completed the state-mandated 40 hours of security skills training (8 hours pre-assignment, 16 hours within 30 days, and 16 hours within 6 months).
- First Aid & CPR: Must hold a current certification in First Aid and CPR (AHA or Red Cross equivalent).
Preferred Certifications
We prioritize candidates who go above and beyond in their professional development. Preference is given to those with:
- Non-Lethal Use of Force: Certification in at least two forms of non-lethal tools (e.g., Pepper Spray/Chemical Agents and Baton Permit).
- De-escalation Training: Proven training in conflict resolution or tactical communication.
What We’re Looking For
- The Right Mindset: You are customer-experience driven. You can enforce rules firmly but with a professional, helpful attitude.
- Reliability: Punctual and available for weekend events (shifts range from 4 to 8 hours).
