Position Summary
The Express Technician is an entry-level automotive service role responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services quickly and accurately. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start or grow a career in the automotive industry.
You will play a critical role in delivering efficient, high-quality service experiences while supporting service lane productivity, customer satisfaction (CSI), and shop throughput.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance services, including:
- Oil changes
- Tire rotations
- Battery testing and replacement
- Multi-point vehicle inspections
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and report needed repairs to service advisors
- Maintain high productivity levels in a fast-paced express service environment
- Ensure all work is completed according to Chevrolet and dealership standards
- Properly document all services performed in the dealership management system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Assist senior technicians as needed for training and development
- Support service lane flow and minimize wait times for guests
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Basic mechanical aptitude
Preferred:
- Prior automotive experience (lube tech, tire tech, or similar)
- Trade school or technical training (ASE pathway a plus)
- Experience with GM/Chevrolet vehicles

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
