Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Hospice Aide to join our full-time hospice team. This role is ideal for caregivers who are committed to providing personal care and emotional support to patients during end-of-life care.

As a Hospice Aide, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and play a vital role in maintaining patient comfort, safety, and dignity. You will also serve as a reassuring presence for families during a sensitive and meaningful time.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and comfort measures

• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse

• Support patient safety and dignity during daily care activities

• Provide emotional support to patients and families

• Document care provided accurately and timely in the EMR system

• Follow infection control standards and hospice care guidelines

• Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Hospice Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Michigan

• Previous hospice or home health experience required

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within assigned areas

• Ability to work independently while maintaining high care standards
