Rome Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to lead our Infection Prevention program, provide staff education, and support wound care management. This role is ideal for a proactive nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to improving resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead infection prevention initiatives, including surveillance, reporting, and education, following CDC and NYSDOH protocols.
- Serve as the facility's Antibiotic Stewardship Champion.
- Design, coordinate, and deliver staff education and continuing education programs.
- Support wound care management and participate in weekly wound rounds.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve quality of care and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide guidance to staff, mentor new employees, and support competency assessments.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in New York State.
- Completion of CDC Nursing Home Infection Prevention training.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing home experience, including 6 months charge experience.
- BSN preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention, nursing standards of care, and long-term care regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teaching skills.
