Product Support Manager- Heavy Equipment Dealer

ROMCO Equipment Co. is currently seeking an experienced Product Support Manager to manage our San Antonio, TX branch. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and can demonstrate well-established leadership ability. The daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: supervision of multiple employees, production improvement and quality control, while fostering team building, delivery performance and maintaining customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will facilitate the ongoing development of the branch’s service function with consideration for all product lines carried. The candidate will serve as a liaison between sales/rental and service departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

The Product Support Manager at ROMCO is responsible for:

• Acting as an intermediary between customers and management to identify issues. Provide support in the form of technical research and coordination of information/efforts between manufacturers and service department personnel.
• Promoting and supporting Volvo Construction Equipment, including other represented manufacturers (i.e. GOMACO, K-TEC, Atlas, etc.) as well as their product support activities.
• Coordinating the product training for all service personnel.
• Increasing customer satisfaction and increasing the branch’s service capacity and capability by identifying and promoting best practices.
• Supporting and driving activities within the branch to meet and/or exceed ROMCO’s goals for each region.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

• Associates degree (from a recognized technical school) or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of construction equipment products. Five years of experience in the construction and mining equipment business.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
• Customer service and sales experience a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on training individuals and groups.

Candidates MUST have hands on experience and/or qualified training in the repair and maintenance of Heavy Construction and Mining Equipment. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience. Equivalent mechanical experience is recommended.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be alert and is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions and Additional Requirements

This job operates in an office environment. Office hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional needs outside standard business hours to accommodate meetings, training and projects. Some travel may be required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and complete a successful background and drug screening.
