RoMan Manufacturing is seeking an Advanced Electrical Panel Builder to help us make a difference every day! Are you looking to work with an innovative team in a flexible environment? What you will be doing:
RoMan’s Advanced Electrical Panel Builder will be a collaborative and supportive individual who maintains specific electrical assembly processes by thinking beyond tomorrow to ensure the support meets the desired production outcomes and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
· Assemble and wire control panels, operator stations, junction boxes by following specific blueprints.
· Must have a strong understanding of electrical processes.
· Ability to predetermine any problems that may come up and answer any questions with regard to the prints.
· Continuously strive to improve the quality and quantity of work produced.
· Receives components or items for assembly &/or test in programmed sequence.
· Set up electrical components by means of sensitive hand & equipment coordination.
· Assemble all variations of standard products, as well as complex custom products.
· Follow clear assembly/work/test instructions, e.g. color coding, NEC & UL codes/standards.
· Use simple hand or power tools along with complex jigs & fixtures.
· Enter work hours in ERP system (GSS).
· Ability to correctly size, layout and wire junction boxes.
· Lay out center lines, correct and square for panel layout.
· Mount and wire electrical components correctly.
· Able to read and interpret electrical prints.
· Technical expert of all products & panel related activities.
· Coordinate team activities, setting daily expectations for safety, quality, scheduling & costing.
· Able to read complex schematics, ladder diagrams & point to point drawings.
· Able to test company panels before shipping, IE: point to point, running program sequence.
· Drives continuous improvement process & conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
The stuff you know:
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
· Minimum five (5) years of experience in building electrical panels.
· Able to utilize the internal EPR system required.
· Knowledge of SCADA/HMI/PLC related products & their functions.
· Make decisions related to the project in conjunction with the engineering group.
· Capable of mentoring, coaching, or teaching entry level panel builders.
· Strong professional ethical values and integrity.
· Team player with drive and strong communication skills.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrates a positive “can-do” attitude.
· Takes responsibility for self-performance (Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently).
· Able to work variable and flexible hours including overtime with minimal supervision.
· Demonstrate and committed to regular and reliable attendance as well as punctuality.
