Position Summary
The Faith Formation Assistant is an integral member of the Faith Formation Program and supports all aspects of the program’s organization, execution, and mission. This person will provide direct support to the Director of Faith Formation, the catechists, and the families involved in the program. This position requires 40 hours/week in person.

The Faith Formation Assistant is an integral member of the Faith Formation Program and supports all aspects of the program’s organization, execution, and mission. This person will provide direct support to the Director of Faith Formation, the catechists, and the families involved in the program. This position requires 40 hours/week in person.

Responsibilities
- Assists with annual registration process
- Assists with scheduling and arranging for class setup with facilities staff
- Assists with execution of faith formation and other family-oriented events
- Assists with ordering and distributing class materials
- Assists with program communications
- Assists with managing student information in ParishSoft
- Assists with annual sacraments, including ceremonies, certificates, recording of information in Parish books and ParishSoft, and notification to other parishes
- Assists Director of Faith Formation as requested
- Assists with classes occasionally in the late afternoon and on Sundays
- Assists with sacraments and sacramental preparation on occasional weekends
- Holds a bachelor’s degree or has other equivalent training
- Active participant in the life of the Catholic Church and ability to participate in the full sacramental life of the church
- Experience with the development, administration or execution of youth programming
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and precise
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Outlook
- Professional, strong work ethic, ability to work independently with little supervision, self-motivated, and disciplined
- Strong interpersonal skills, works collaboratively, and exhibits a willingness to learn and be a team player
- Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, ethical responsibility, and maintains confidentiality
