About the Role
RoMac Building Supply has an opening for an Outside Sales Representative to cover an area from Lake & Sumter county. The company offers a complete product line of building materials from the foundation to the rooftop plus support from manufacturing truss and doors facilities. RoMac offers installation services in doors, windows, garage doors and commercial doors as well as manufacturing custom wood mouldings. We are looking for someone with a strong outside sales background and the willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
As an Outside Sales Representative at RoMac Building Supply, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers in our service area. Your role will involve identifying customer needs, presenting product solutions from our comprehensive range of building materials, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. You will work to consistently meet and exceed monthly sales objectives, while providing exceptional service and support. The position requires regular travel within the assigned territory, and you will collaborate with both individual clients and team members to drive business growth.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills related to the lumber and supply industry
- Previous experience in sales of building materials preferred
- Close business consistently to achieve monthly sales objectives
- Proficiency using a computer
- Problem solving skills; ability to determine solutions for customers
- Work well individually and in a team environment
- Ability to show up regularly and on time
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Salary based on draw against commission
Experience:
- Outside Sales: 1 year (Required)
- Building Material sales: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
