Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions swiftly and accurately
- Handle cash drawer management, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling daily sales
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering product demos, and guiding customers through their shopping experience
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining organized displays to enhance store presentation
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote store products and increase sales opportunities
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support team members by supervising or mentoring new staff, ensuring smooth store operations and excellent service delivery
Qualifications
- Prior experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales transactions is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide friendly, professional customer interactions
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers
- Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising principles
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking or organizing displays
