Key Responsibilities Essential Duties
Clinical Care Delivery
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Deliver therapy sessions focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and recovery protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes, concerns, or barriers to the supervising OT.
- Accurately and timely document patient performance, interventions, and progress toward goals.
- Educate patients on recovery expectations, home exercise programs, safety, and functional strategies.
- Reinforce patient engagement and adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
- Support individual and group‑based therapy sessions as assigned.
- Assist with maintaining standardized clinical workflows and documentation processes.
- Support implementation of functional recovery initiatives and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and care coordination activities.
- Provide feedback to improve clinical operations, patient experience, and workflow efficiency.
- Utilize telehealth platforms and digital tools to deliver high‑quality patient care.
- Assist patients with navigating digital therapy platforms and engagement tools.
- Maintain proficiency with electronic documentation systems and collaboration tools.
- Deliver services in accordance with state licensure laws, payer requirements, and applicable telehealth regulations.
- Follow established supervision requirements and collaborate closely with the supervising OT.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and professional standards of care.
