About the Role
We are seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal to support a busy practice handling cases from intake through litigation.
This role involves hands-on work in case development, medical record collection, and litigation support. The ideal candidate understands how personal injury cases move and can keep files progressing without constant supervision.
This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client intake and initial case setup
- Manage case files from pre-litigation through litigation
- Coordinate and track:
- Medical records and bills
- Liens and no-fault/PIP documentation
- Insurance information
- Draft and prepare:
- Summons and Complaints
- Bills of Particulars
- Discovery demands and responses
- Assist with NYSCEF filings
- Track deadlines, court dates, and compliance
- Communicate with:
- Clients
- Medical providers
- Insurance carriers
- Assist attorneys with:
- Motion preparation
- Trial preparation
Qualifications
- 2 years personal injury paralegal experience preferred
- Familiarity with New York PI practice and litigation procedures
- Experience handling medical records and billing documentation
- Knowledge of no-fault/PIP and lien resolution is a strong plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
