Duties
- Assist with real estate transactions including title searches, due diligence, and preparing closing documents
- Preparing court documents on surplus money claims (related to foreclosure actions)
- Review contracts, leases, and other legal documents for accuracy and compliance
- Possibly support litigation processes through document review, case file organization, and preparing reports
- Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and other documentation with precision and clarity
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams via phone etiquette and professional communication to gather information or schedule meetings
Skills
- Proven experience as a paralegal within a law office setting with familiarity in real estate law practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective writing skills for drafting contracts, and correspondence
- Experience with document review, proofreading, transcription, and data entry tasks
- Knowledge of diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, family law, landlord-tenant law, patent law, immigration law, tribal regulations, and litigation procedures
- Ability to perform detailed legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis to support case development
- Strong clerical experience including filing systems and administrative support functions such as scheduling or phone etiquette
