Key Responsibilities
- Funeral Director will meet with families to discuss funeral arrangements and provide compassionate bereavement support
- Coordinate and oversee funeral services, including transportation, setup, and ceremony logistics
- Prepare and dress remains with attention to cosmetology standards and anatomical considerations
- Manage dissection procedures when required for anatomical or educational purposes
- Maintain strict sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, respectful environment
- Assist families with memorial product selections and related services
- Safely handle heavy lifting involved in transporting caskets and equipment
- Plan and organize funeral events in alignment with family wishes and legal requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in funeral directing or related roles within the funeral industry
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to handle remains respectfully and accurately
- Excellent communication skills to guide and support families
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following sanitation standards
- Event‑planning skills to coordinate funeral ceremonies seamlessly
- Valid certification or licensure as required by local regulations
