What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services - Golf & Party Rentals position at ROLLING MEADOWS PARK DISTRICT?
JOB SUMMARY: The Guest Services-Golf and Party Rentals staff is responsible for performing a variety of duties at the guest services office including maintaining exceptional communication with guests and co-workers. This is an at-will position. Primary duties include:
- Assist Supervisor of Parties and Golf in golf simulator operations, including bookings, schedule, financial reporting, collections
- Assists with ice party rentals, both public skate and private parties. This includes communications on party request forms, scheduling, payment collection for private and public skate parties
- Some night and weekend hours will be scheduled depending on Golf simulator hours and events.
- Understanding of Trackman golf simulator software, Civic Rec recreation software, SportEngine Public Skate website, YGB golf booking software.
- Answer telephone and email communications and provide guest services at the registration area.
- Assist in entering program information and registrations into electronic database.
- Process class lists and attendance rosters.
- Process daily fees, memberships, and refunds as needed.
- Maintain paperwork on registration, refunds, and bank outs.
- Accurately attend to customer’s questions and concerns regarding registration.
- Complete all necessary forms as needed.
- Process pool and ice arena passes, including taking the participant’s picture for the pass.
- Adhere to general policies and procedures of the Rolling Meadows Park District.
- Aid in contacting participants for program changes, cancellations/ closings, or wait list openings.
- Attend all meetings as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a High School graduate or equivalent with strong customer service, computer, and math skills. Minimum of two years of guest services experience is preferred. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public. Knowledge of golf operations is preferred. Proficiency in online registration and reservation systems, email, Microsoft Word and Excel required. The ability to multitask and follow through on detailed work is crucial.
SCHEDULE & PAY: This is a part-time, year-round position. Schedule hours may vary, including evenings and weekends. Full pay range is $15.00 - $19 per hour, DOQ (dependent on qualifications). Plus, applicable facility and program discounts.
