Are you computer-savvy, have a knack for troubleshooting, and enjoy working with others? If so, Monroe County’s Information Technology Department might have the job for you! We’re hiring a full-time IT Specialist. Successful candidates are preferred to have an associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology or another closely related field. Three years’ work experience in computer and application support or other related IT experience is desired. Experience in Windows server and desktop operating systems is required. IT certifications are preferred and helpful. A valid driver’s license is required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may also be considered.
Our IT Specialist completes a variety of technical work for the IT Department. This position configures and deploys desktops, laptops, workstations, mobile devices, printers, image-copiers, cell phones, and County-wide computer peripherals. This position also provides support to end-users by troubleshooting and correcting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Starting salary for this position is $26.36 hourly depending on qualifications and experience.
