Overview
We are seeking experienced OTR CDL Class A Truck Drivers to join our team. This role involves long-haul route driving across multiple states, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with experience handling various types of trailers and freight loads. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a reliable transportation network.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across long-distance routes, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations
- Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment as required
- Load and unload freight at designated locations using forklifts or other equipment when necessary
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining safety standards
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and trailer to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues encountered during routes
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
- Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery and route driving
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when applicable
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers
- Experience with freight handling, including specialized loads like tankers or refrigerated goods is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with the necessary endorsements for different trailer types if applicable
- Ability to work independently on long-haul routes while maintaining professionalism and safety standards
Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week
