Duties
- Prepare a variety of deli foods, including slicing meats, cheeses, and assembling sandwiches with precision and care
- Operated electric smoker
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by assisting with product selections, answering questions, and upselling items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep areas, ensuring food safety compliance at all times
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory to keep the deli area inviting and well-stocked
- Support food handling procedures such as proper sanitation and adhering to health regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, retail grocery store, café, or quick service restaurant is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
