Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for managing field and office operations of the land development function.
What you will do:
- Manage land development contractors, verifying work completed and continuously monitoring progress.
- Meeting with site inspectors, government agencies and HOA’s.
- Coordination of land development work with active homebuilding operations in a productive, team oriented manner.
- Coordination of the design and installation of dry utilities.
- Direct and pursue bond release efforts leading to street acceptance and full exoneration.
- Request proposals for site development work through the competitive bid process.
- Establish and maintain accurate land development schedules.
- Prepare and maintain accurate land development budgets.
- Invoice review, coding, and tracking for assigned land development projects.
- Support land acquisition team in creating initial land development schedules and budgets.
- Work productively with the land entitlement team to assist in obtaining site related permits and transition from entitlements to development.
- Attend production operations team meeting to report on project status.
- Position reports to the Vice President of Land Planning and Development; from time to time will be required to have direct access and communication with the senior operations team and Division President.
What you will need:
- High School Diploma/Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3 years of Land development/homebuilding construction experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License because driving is an essential function of this position.
- Basic fundamental knowledge of civil, geotechnical engineering and surveying.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
