Job Overview
We're seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our team as a part-time Office Manager. As an Office Manager at our Humane Society, you'll provide administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our shelter and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle correspondence
- Respond to business-related emails, volunteer inquiries, and other correspondence
- Financial Support: Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and expense tracking
- Newsletter: Assist with newsletter preparation and distribution
- Donor Relations: Update Donor Perfect, prepare end-of-year tax letters, and acknowledge donations
- Event Support: Help coordinate events, fundraisers, and volunteer activities
- HR Support: Assist with employee onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel record-keeping
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information, including animal, donor, and employee records
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Donor Perfect
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassion for animals and our mission
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to remain patient, tactful, and pleasant when dealing with a diverse range of people and situations, often with competing priorities and emotional needs
Hours:
- Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
- Some flexibility required, including occasional evenings and weekends
