Job Overview
We're seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our team as a part-time Office Manager. As an Office Manager at our Humane Society, you'll provide administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our shelter and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle correspondence
  • Respond to business-related emails, volunteer inquiries, and other correspondence
  • Financial Support: Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and expense tracking
  • Newsletter: Assist with newsletter preparation and distribution
  • Donor Relations: Update Donor Perfect, prepare end-of-year tax letters, and acknowledge donations
  • Event Support: Help coordinate events, fundraisers, and volunteer activities
  • HR Support: Assist with employee onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel record-keeping
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information, including animal, donor, and employee records

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Donor Perfect
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassion for animals and our mission
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to remain patient, tactful, and pleasant when dealing with a diverse range of people and situations, often with competing priorities and emotional needs

Hours:

  • Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
  • Some flexibility required, including occasional evenings and weekends
