Official Title: Facilities Assistant (Redwood)
Job Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Job Grade: 2
Reports to: Site Manager
Objective and Purpose
To support the onsite manager. The primary purpose is to help with all of the day to day pieces to make sure rooms are turned over in a timely manner as best to support the onsite manager and our community partners. Maintenance issues may arise from time to time. It will be your duty to support with a solution to solve the issue.
Standard Required Qualifications
1. Must have 2 years verifiable work history.
2. If you have a substance use disorder (addiction) you must have 2 years clean since your last use.
3. High School Diploma or equivalent
4. This is an entry level position with no experience required
5. Basic housekeeping skills and janitorial.
Preferred Qualifications
1. One year of experience as an employee/volunteer at a social service agency.
2. Completed training or personal participation that benefits participants, such as effective communication classes, crisis intervention, or addiction recovery.
3. Ability to work under supervision.
4. Exhibit good verbal communication skills.
5. Exhibit ability to maintain confidential participant records.
6. Exhibit ability to work well with guests, volunteers, and co-workers.
7. Exhibit problem solving skills in acute and/or emergency situations.
Essential Functions
· Must be familiar (or become familiar) with the Guest Agreement.
· Redirects unwanted behaviors and deescalates situations as they arise.
· Understands and implements any necessary emergency procedures.
· Assists volunteers and donors as needed.
· Assist guests with fresh linens and clean rooms.
· Assist guests with organization of personal space.
· General maintenance of the facilities and property.
· General cleaning which can include bathrooms and other areas as assigned.
. Other duties as assigned by the Redwood Manager.

Pay: From $17.75 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
