Position Overview:
Rogue Island Local Kitchen & Bar is seeking experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Servers/Bartenders to join our fast-paced front of house team. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a high-volume environment, work well under pressure, and genuinely enjoy creating memorable guest experiences.
This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude during busy services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to all guests
- Guide guests through food, beer, cocktail, wine, and spirits menus
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room, bar, and service areas
- Pre-bus and reset tables efficiently to support table turnover
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front of house team members
- Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve issues professionally
- Check identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and closing paperwork accurately
- Stock and replenish bar and service stations throughout shifts
- Follow all sanitation, health, and safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous serving and/or bartending experience preferred
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Nights, weekends, and holiday availability required
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Knowledge of craft beer, cocktails, wine, and food service is a plus
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and attitude
- TIPS certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred
