POSITION SUMMARY:
Actively recruit prospective students to the University through community college visits, college fairs, campus tours, on-campus events, and other opportunities. Serve as main contact for specific populations of applicants.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Recruit prospective students from specified territory to the University
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with community college staff members
- Sustain a system of visitation and follow-up at select community colleges
- Perform all functions related to the admission of students in accordance with University and OSRHE guidelines; includes data entry, application review, transcript evaluation, electronic document management, and quality control.
- Manage a continuous case load of prospective students, transitioning them from application to enrollment at RSU.
- Develop and update print and web materials
- Disseminate accurate information to prospective students in a timely manner
- Assist in coordination of campus visitation program
- Collaborate with recruitment team to develop and carry out on-campus recruitment events
- Maintain prospective student database
- Assist Office of Admissions with admissions and advisement as needed
- Perform other duties as directed by the Assistant Director of Admissions, Director of Admissions, Vice President for Academic Affairs, or President
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong oral and written communication skills;
- Flexible self-starter who is willing to work until the job is complete;
- Personal computer skills and the ability to learn mainframe are required;
- Enthusiastic, professional, and a good ambassador for the University at all times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work is performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, and the ability to sit, stand, drive, and walk for prolonged periods of time is required;
- Ability to lift 35 pounds, bend, reach, speak, see, and type is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- Experience in higher education setting preferred

SUPERVISION GIVEN TO: Student Workers
POSITION: FLSA Non-Exempt
HOURS:
8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. Mon-Fri
Evenings and weekends as necessary
