Benefits Administration
- Administer and coordinate health, COBRA, 401(k), FMLA, LTD, and life insurance benefits
- Assist with annual open enrollment periods
- Manage and schedule annual flu shot clinics and biometric screenings
- Collaborate on wellness initiatives to support employee health and engagement
- Support Talent Specialists by tracking candidate interviews and evaluations
- Administer pre-hire screening processes including drug screens, background checks, pre-employment assessments, and physicals
- Set up new employees electronically and distribute required documents
- Assist with orientation for hourly and salaried personnel
- Ensure compliance with E-Verify, I-9 documentation, and new hire reporting
- Manage and maintain accurate personnel records
- Set up employee portals and audit employee data
- Support the performance management process, including 90-day and annual performance evaluations
- Assist the HR Manager in maintaining company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and maintain written records for personnel data
- Maintain records for legal compliance: HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, employee notices, Form I-9, and EEO forms
- Perform internal department audits to ensure compliance
- Advise on improvements to policies, procedures, and forms
- Maintain company organization charts and HR intranet
- Maintain the HRIS (Human Resources Information System)
- Assist in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures
- Prepare and maintain the employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
- Respond to garnishment requests and employment verification requests accurately and timely
- Process termination paperwork and provide post-exit support
- Document terminations and ensure proper transfer to inactive employee status
- Provide daily administration of functional HR as needed
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of HR experience
- Strong computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet creation
- Ability to read, record, and type data quickly and accurately
- Strong analytical skills to collect and interpret numerical and written data
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under stress and handle multiple priorities
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Bachelor's degree
- SHRM membership and PHR certification
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, and carry items up to 20 pounds
- Clear vision at 20 inches or less for reading and computer work
- Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels
