OVERVIEW
The Accounting Assistant II keeps accounting records accurately and compiles information requested by Office Manager and others pertaining to accounting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily credit card and cash deposits
- Check internal RO’s for accuracy.
- Find and post all funding notices.
- Post general ledger entries as assigned.
- Reconcile schedules as assigned.
- Reconcile the bank statements daily.
- Filing, scanning, and other items as delegated.
- Work as a team to ensure timely processing of all tasks.
- On-going training in all administrative positions.
- Teamwork and constant communication with other administrative staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Professional personal appearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three years accounting experience in the auto industry or Accounting degree.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The Accounting Assistant II position is mostly sedentary. They will primarily work at a desk in the admin office. They will be required to use office machinery, such as computer, copier, scanner, postage machine, and 10-key. Occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds required. They will be required to fill in for other positions in the absence of other admin staff. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
