Burt's is a convenience store and fuel station in Holmes Beach. We take pride in a clean, welcoming store, friendly and fast service, and a supportive, team-driven workplace for our employees.
We're looking for a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead the Burt's Holmes Beach store — owning the team, the numbers, the fuel islands, and the guest experience every day. If you're a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced convenience or retail environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and inspire team members to perform at their best.
- Foster a positive, energetic, and guest-focused culture.
- Provide ongoing feedback, development, and recognition to employees.
Operations Excellence
- Oversee all daily store and fuel island operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and vendor check-in.
- Ensure a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming environment inside the store and on the lot.
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including age-restricted sales of alcohol, tobacco, and lottery.
Business Performance
- Monitor sales, labor, inventory, cash handling, and financial performance to achieve company goals.
- Identify opportunities to grow inside sales and fuel volume and improve profitability.
- Manage inventory levels and control costs.
Guest Experience
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service.
- Build lasting relationships with regular guests, island residents, and visitors.
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
What We’re Looking For
- Management experience. Proven management experience in a convenience store, fuel, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or other high-volume customer service environment.
- Team builder. Demonstrated success recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining strong team members.
- Operations know-how. Experience with scheduling, inventory management, labor management, and financial reporting.
- Organized and self-directed. Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with little to no supervision.
- Accountable. Dependable, results driven, and committed to compliance and integrity.
- Open availability. This full-time role requires open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Reliable transportation. Able to respond to store needs during emergencies or staffing shortages.
- Education. College degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors at the fuel islands.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
