Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality control functions at12quarries and 5 asphalt plants.
- Responsible for designing and implementing quality control standards and overseeing the inspection of production output to assure compliance with customer specifications.
- Developing Quality Control Technicians and monitoring their work.
- Evaluating and recommending the resources necessary to meet our quality goals.
- Assist in maintaining permits with environmental agencies.
- A variety of other important tasks and duties as needed and assigned.
- Demonstrable knowledge ofAsphalt and Aggregate testing and design procedures.
- Proficient in blending aggregates and asphalt to specifications to conform to TXDOT requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior management to accelerate the improvement and differentiation of existing products.
- Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop Quality Control Technicians.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology or related field of study preferred.Will consider anAssociate ’ sdegree and/or 5-7 years of direct industry experience.
- 5-7 years’ experience dealing with aggregates and asphalt required.
- 3 years’ experience managing Quality Control labs and overseeing multiple facilities.
- Certifications in Soils & Aggregate Testing and Hot Mix Asphalt preferred.
