Job Details
- Fulltime/Permanent
- Day Shift
- Weekend work may be required
- Overtime available
- Operate bulldozers and attachments to cut, push, spread, backfill, and grade soil and materials according to project specifications
- Read site plans, grade stakes, and use GPS or laser grade control systems to achieve precise grading .
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, report defects, and coordinate basic maintenanc .
- Maintain safe operating practices, including following traffic control, flagging, and site-specific safety rules.
- Coordinate with supervisors, spotters, and other equipment operators to complete tasks efficiently .
- Manage fuel, fluids, and lubrication checks, and keep the work area free of hazards
- Complete daily logs and report progress to the site superintendent
- Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Proven experience operating bulldozers and heavy equipment
- Strong understanding of grading, compaction, and earthmoving techniques.
- Ability to read construction drawings, grade stakes, and basic site layouts.
- Familiarity with GPS/laser grade control systems is an asset.
- Good mechanical aptitude for inspections and minor adjustments.
- Knowledge of safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and handle heavy equipment.
