Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Description

· Establishes and sets up shipping and receiving operations

· Performs receiving inspection process

· Accurately receives materials in Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP System)

· Places materials in proper inventory locations for prompt retrieval

· Recognizes and resolves shipping discrepancies

· Packages outbound shipments

· Accurately performs material and inventory transactions within systems

· Safely operates Fork Truck and Pallet Jacks and move 50 LBS

· Accurately performs inventory cycle counts

· Works well with routine and repetitive tasks

· Scans and load trucks

· Confers with leadership on shipping and receiving operations

· Verifies accuracy of receipts

· Performs other job duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.

· 3-5 years’ experience shipping, receiving or material inventory for an Automotive supplier

· Must have experience interacting with LTL trucking, Fed Ex and UPS

· Preferred experience with international shipping

· Demonstrated team skills and dependability

· Able to withstand and provide constructive criticism on the job

· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy essential

· High quality communication and interpersonal skills

· Must possess sound problem-solving skills

· Fluency with computers and accuracy in data entry is very important

· Demonstrated organizational skills

· Able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently

· Able to work well with minimal supervision

· Exercise team effort to achieve success and demonstrate respect for peers, subordinates, supervisors, and customers

· Able to understand and follow instructions

· Able to lead the implementation of new processes

· Must fully understand and adhere to maintenance, safety, and quality processes and procedures

· Able to maintain an excellent good attendance record

· Can successfully handle stress and time pressures

· Willing to work longer hours as needed and be flexible for late or early shipments

· 3-5 years experience with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, AIAG and Customer Logistics requirements

· Must be able to perform all functions of the job either with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
