We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Revenue Cycle to lead and optimize the financial operations related to patient billing, collections, and revenue management within our healthcare organization. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle process, including patient registration, billing, coding, collections, and accounts receivable management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve revenue cycle performance and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards such as JCAHO.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline workflows and optimize revenue capture.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing accuracy, collection rates, days in accounts receivable, and denials management.
- Lead efforts to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and technology integration within revenue cycle operations.
- Ensure staff training and development to maintain high levels of expertise in medical management and healthcare management practices.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Serve as a liaison between finance, clinical departments, insurance payers, and external auditors to facilitate smooth revenue cycle operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in healthcare management with a focus on revenue cycle operations.
- Strong knowledge of medical management principles and healthcare billing practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and KPIs effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications in healthcare management or revenue cycle management are a plus.
