What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic / Shop Technician position at Roelofsen Implement?
Roelofsen Implement Inc. is a full line BRP dealership and is looking for a full-time shop technician. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am - 5:30pm. Some Saturdays as needed.
Abilities, and Skills
- Perform repairs and maintenance on Ski Doo Snowmobiles, Can Am ATV's and Side by Side's, Sea Doo Personal Watercraft, , Spyder/Ryker Motorcycles, and Lawn Mowers.
- Diagnose engine and electrical issues
- Operate/Learn how to look up parts using dealer management system
- Perform warranty and recall work
- Accurately relate technician notes on each repair order.
- Education or on-the-job training in powersports industry.
- Complete selection of tools needed for daily work load.
- Communicate clearly with customers.
Additional Talents Desired :
- 1-2 years of experience as a technician in a shop setting is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledgeable with operating computers.
- Ability to work independently and also in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. minimum.
- Passion for the job and a desire to improve operations.
- Desire to establish a long term career with a growing company.
