Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects across Roechling's Transportation Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Composites Sales Manager; interacts with our industrial transportation market team and related customers daily to coordinate, manage, monitor projects & orders, and sell Roechling capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to: Composites Sales Manager
Works with: Is the immediate liaison to and works closely with the following referenced.
- Roechling Mt. Pleasant Transportation - Inside Sales, Production, Purchasing, & Quality Teams
- Transportation - Industry Manager
- Transportation Market – Industry Customer Base & specific OEMs as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Independent support & management of all transportation projects for Röchling Industrial Mt Pleasant.
- Upholds commercial focus & decision making for OEMs with Industry Management to facilitate the forward movement and prioritization of project management.
- FAI preparation & handling, project takeover when ready after FAI approval received & production scales up.
- Close cooperation, coordination, and support of the various Roechling N.A. Transportation Market Team.
- Contact customers regarding acceptance and disposition of nonconforming products.
- Facilitate and/or negotiate and handle product returns, work with AR to keep orderly & up to date.
- Prepare & negotiate quotes, contracts, & delivery schedules for repeat orders (to be) obtained.
- Provide product support and outstanding customer service.
- Travel periodically to strategic transportation accounts throughout North America.
- Estimate date of delivery to the customer, deadline & process monitoring, active change management.
- Attend production meetings & coordinate transportation market project needs within.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Attend, travel to, or identify strategic Industry Trade Shows and events as necessary.
- Attend select sales meetings both offsite and at RMP as required.
- Responsible for sales of Röchling Industrial products into any assigned Transportation Accounts
- Submit travel schedule, post-visit reports, & project updates (as necessary).
- Prepare & submit expense reports monthly.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A) in Business Management, Project Management, or related discipline from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Project management background a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as orders with special instructions, safety rules and operating/procedure manuals. Must be able to accurately complete paperwork and create required reports. Must be able to speak effectively before large groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to interpret graphs or charts.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
TRAVEL:
Must be willing and able to travel anywhere in North America for customer needs and to Europe for Roechling facility visits as necessary. Travel frequency may be up to 20% per month as needed. Roechling will cover the cost of passport application.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
