Our Location

This role is based in our Fishtown office at The Center for Educational Excellence in Oxford Mills. The complex offers modern amenities, including two large free parking lots, the Gryphon Café, and a complimentary gym for employees and residents. The neighborhood is one of Philadelphia’s most dynamic, with a thriving commercial district, new residential buildings, and easy access to I-95, Girard Avenue, Frankford Avenue, the Ben Franklin Bridge, and SEPTA’s Market-Frankford Line.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage survey drafting projects in AutoCAD Civil 3D from start to finish.

  • Interpret field data and prepare topographic, ALTA, boundary, site development, and construction stakeout plans.

  • Apply knowledge of Philadelphia-specific drafting, surveying, and utility standards, including PWD requirements.

  • Create and manage COGO points, alignments, surfaces, and annotations.

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field crews to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.

  • Mentor junior staff and enforce QA/QC processes.

  • Occasionally collect or review field data using GNSS or robotic total stations.

  • Stay current with geospatial technologies, CAD standards, and best practices.



Requirements


  • 3–7 years of survey drafting experience, including at least 3 years with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Strong ability to apply CAD standards and drafting best practices to produce precise and consistent plans.

  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and eager to learn new tools.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical teams.

  • Familiarity with Philadelphia surveying and one-call standards preferred.

  • Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geodesy, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience with ArcGIS, Google Earth, or LiDAR/3D scanning tools preferred.

  • Certifications such as CST Level II, SIT, or OSHA (Confined Space/Fall Protection) are preferred.

  • Experience working on Philadelphia-based infrastructure or utility projects preferred.
