The ideal candidate will also be responsible for managing third-party vendor relationships for large-scale facility repairs and specialized equipment servicing.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire systems, etc.)
- Respond to maintenance work orders and building repair needs promptly
- Maintain clean and safe workspaces in accordance with safety regulations
- Support general facility upkeep including minor construction, carpentry, and painting as required
- Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machines such as CNC machines, lasers, and water jets
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and malfunctions; make necessary repairs or escalate as needed
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation for all equipment serviced
- Coordinate with external service providers for specialized equipment repairs and large-scale facility maintenance
- Source, evaluate, and manage vendors for cost-effective and timely service
- Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, timelines, and safety procedures
- Track and verify vendor invoices and maintenance-related purchases
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred
- 3 years of relevant experience in facilities and industrial equipment maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of CNC machines, laser cutters, water jets, and other precision manufacturing tools
- Familiarity with reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks in varying conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, including vendor coordination
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking software (e.g., CMMS) is a plus
- Combination of office, manufacturing, and maintenance floor environments
- Exposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical parts
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours to support emergency repairs
