Auto Body Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert repair and refinishing techniques. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and appearance. Duties

• Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural restoration using advanced techniques such as MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal fabrication
• Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools to shape, align, and finish vehicle surfaces with precision
• Conduct auto painting using airless paint spraying equipment to achieve smooth, flawless finishes
• Replace and install auto glass with attention to safety standards and customer specifications
• Execute auto restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged parts and restoring vehicles to showroom condition
• Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, including auto estimating documentation and work orders
• Collaborate with customers to explain repair processes, provide updates on progress, and ensure satisfaction throughout the service experience

Qualifications

• Proven experience or extensive background in auto body repair preferred
• Proficiency in MIG welding, welding techniques, soldering, and sheet metal work
• Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, auto painting equipment, and auto glass installation tools
• Experience with auto estimating software is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during parts replacement or structural repairs
• Knowledge of auto restoration techniques and automotive repair standards
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
