The Rocky Mountain Welcome Center (RMWC) is an immigrant-led nonprofit organization fostering intercultural learning, understanding and integration among immigrants, refugees and Colorado residents through programs and activities that develop supportive multicultural communities. Serving over 2,000 people a year, offers programs that holistically support individuals and families as they integrate into their new communities. Our Mental Health & Wellness Program provides accessible, trauma-informed counseling and wellness support tailored to the unique needs of our diverse clients.
Position Summary
The Clinical Director oversees all aspects of clinical operations and service delivery within the Mental Health & Wellness Program. This includes providing leadership, supervision, and clinical oversight to therapists and interns; maintaining compliance with DORA and BHA/BHE regulations; ensuring adherence to agency policies and ethical standards; and promoting a collaborative, trauma-informed culture grounded in cultural humility and equity.
The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician with experience in community mental health, immigrant or refugee services, and program development—someone who combines strong administrative skills with clinical depth and a passion for social impact.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership & Supervision
Provide clinical supervision and case consultation for therapists, counselors, and interns.
Ensure quality assurance through chart audits, case reviews, and adherence to ethical
and documentation standards.
Maintain a small caseload of individual or group clients as needed.
Lead regular clinical team meetings to support collaboration, learning, and wellness.
Manage a team of Licensed therapists and interns, including pro-bono and volunteer
clinicians.
Hire Mental Health professionals as needed.
- Program Oversight & Compliance
Oversee all clinical policies, procedures, and service protocols in alignment with
Colorado BHA and DORA regulations.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to maintain and update policies related to quality
management, client rights, assessment, admission/discharge, and incident reporting.
Support ongoing readiness for BHE licensure and audits.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, informed consent, and data security standards.
Ensure data collection and participate in report writing for funding purposes.
Administer insurance credentialing and billing.
- Training & Staff Development
Develop and implement training for clinical staff on trauma-informed care, cultural
competence, and best practices.
Foster a supportive environment that prioritizes clinician well-being and professional
growth.
Mentor graduate interns and new professionals entering the behavioral health field.
- Community & Partnership Engagement
Collaborate with community partners, shelters, and immigrant-serving organizations to
coordinate referrals and care continuity.
Represent RMWC in community meetings, professional associations, and public events
related to mental health and integration.
Perform outreach initiatives in order to assure potential clients are connected to services.
Support grants, and data collection efforts to demonstrate program impact.
- Strategic & Administrative Support
Participate in program evaluation, data tracking, and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to grant writing, program planning, and reporting deliverables.
Work with leadership to expand bilingual (English-Spanish or other languages) service
capacity.
Qualifications
Required
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family
Therapy, or related field.
Active Colorado clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LP).
Minimum 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a
supervisory or leadership role.
Experience with insurance credentialing and billing, including Medicaid.
Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and
strengths-based clinical practices.
Approved as clinical supervisor by DORA requirements.
Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or multicultural populations.
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (or another language relevant to RMWC’s client base).
Preferred
Experience with Colorado’s Behavioral Health Entity (BHE) requirements and DORA
compliance.
Background in grant-funded community programs and nonprofit operations.
Familiarity with data collection, program evaluation, and outcome reporting.
