Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pest Control Technician to join our small, family owned company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing pest control services for residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of pest management techniques, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate various tools, ladders and equipment safely. As a Pest Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and safety of our clients by effectively managing pest issues. Position will start as part-time but may grow to full-time. Pay will be based on experience, a CDA license is a plus. A company vehicle, gas, materials, tools and equipment will be provided.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest problems and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Apply pest control treatments using hand tools, power tools, and sprayers
- Educate clients on pest prevention techniques and provide recommendations for maintaining a pest-free environment.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatment details and client interactions.
- Drive to various job sites in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and best practices in pest control.
Experience
- Previous experience in pest control or related fields such as lawn care or landscaping is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with operating hand tools, power tools, and climbing ladders is advantageous.
- Strong sales skills are a plus to effectively communicate service offerings to clients.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
